Though it is summer in the U.S., it is winter in Costa Rica. But don’t plan your ski vacation just yet. “Winter” is how the locals refer to the rainy season that runs from May to December. Bring an umbrella, not a snowboard. It rains almost daily, and everything is growing!
The mission team from Matrix Ministries has come and gone. In just one rainy week they made a tremendous impact by razing an old, rotting, wood building and replacing it with a modern steel building that will be used to bless their community for years to come. But there is more work to do. In future trips, the building will be completely finished and furnished. For now, the roof is on and the church has already met for worship (see video and photos below).
