Just two months after our move to Costa Rica in 2010, we were blessed to meet Pastor David and his wife, Gaby. David is the son of Pastor Eli and Pastora Marta, who lead a church in San Jose.

At that time, David was young in the ministry, but his heart was on fire for the Lord. He knew enough English to translate for us as we began to minister among the indigenous Cabecar of Eastern Costa Rica. And he and Gaby were always ready to sing when we needed them to at a training event.

Over the years, David and Gaby have served faithfully in a few different churches, and have never lost their love for God and for people. And now, their visas are approved, and the Lord has called them to lead the Spanish ministry at Journey Church, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The pastor of Journey Church is Kevin McMahan, who happens to be on our board of directors. He has led many, many trips to Costa Rica, and he knows what he is getting with David and Gaby.

We lift our prayers and offer our blessings on their entire family, and on Journey Church as they begin this new chapter. May God use you all for His purposes in Arkansas!
