We Are Back

A few days ago we returned from Spain, where we had spent our first-ever Sabbatical walking the famed Camino de Santiago. The Camino is an ancient pilgrimage that takes many routes. We trekked the 500 mile Camino Frances, from Saint Jean Pied-de-Port in France, to Santiago de Compostela in western Spain.

For 47 days we carried our belongings on our backs as we crossed the Pyrenees, traversed the flat “Meseta,” and made our way through rain, sleet, hail, and blistering sun. We visited countless churches, cathedrals, hermitages, fortresses, and castles. We walked on natural paths, ancient Roman roads, and hard concrete.

We know many of our Brook Ministries friends followed our adventure as it happened via our posts on Facebook. If you didn’t see our posts, please friend us and look back on our adventure. For us it was truly life changing.

Steve shared daily insights via video, as well as some photos. His FB is facebook.com/stevelucas

Angela was diligent to share the day-by-day details of all that we did. Check out her posts at facebook.com/angela.lucas

Our Sabbatical is coming to an end, and our ministry partners are already in touch getting ready for training events in July. Thank you for your prayers the last few months. And please continue to pray for us as we take what we learned and pour it into those here in Costa Rica.
