In just a few days, the first of two teams will arrive from Matrix Ministries in Texas. Led by our good friends Ray Young and Cate Rader, their team will tackle two projects, both of which benefit children.

Half of the team will begin the demolition of a children’s ministry building at Iglesia Bíblica de Atenas. They are tearing down the old, dangerous structure so that a new building can be built that will provide a safe place for ministry. This build out will complete the small campus of Iglesia Bíblica, the oldest evangelical church in Atenas. The community here is very excited about this project, and have worked hard to match part of the funds that were donated by Matrix and The Brook Ministries.

The other half of the team will be working at the Hogar de Vida orphanage. They will assist the “tías” (aunts) who care for the children, lead in devotions, worship, do crafts, as well as provide hands for labor around the campus.

The second team coming later this month is made up of the teenagers and student pastor from LifePoint Church in Plano, coming with Matrix Ministries. It is exciting to finally get a team from our former church. We can’t wait to introduce them to Costa Rica.

Please be in prayer for both groups coming from Texas.
