Due to a sudden rise in Covid cases in Costa Rica, we were forced to postpone the two medical clinics which were to be staffed by a team of 15 from Hardin-Simmons University (HSU) in Abilene, Texas.
Instead, just three members of the team came and we adjusted our plans accordingly. Even though the clinics were canceled, we distributed the $3,000 worth of hygiene supplies that were purchased with your donations. In all, we helped four churches. And one team member provided special care to a local ex-pat who tested positive for Covid-19.
Lord willing, the full team will come in either August or December to host the clinics. We are storing the medical supplies until then and will purchase new hygiene items when the time is right.
Thankfully, what was a defeat was used by God to bring a small victory to those in need. Thank you Caryssa, Meredith, and Liz, for your helpful and humble spirits. Your visit was a blessing to all of us!
