Busy Is Good

After a late August trip to the USA to visit family, we returned to Costa Rica to our busiest month since the pandemic hit. But that is not a complaint. It is a celebration. Busy is good. Very good.

In September, we had 7 preaching opportunities, 2 coaching meetings (half day each), and 1 church event at The Brook Training Center for a local church that is currently under construction. We also assembled the monthly “blessing bags” for poor families, and distributed over $4,000 in emergency relief through 4 churches.

In addition, I honestly lost count of how many catered meals Angela prepared for other ministries. There was a never-ending assembly of box lunches and children’s treat bags in our kitchen. (Thankfully, I was able to scoop up a few leftover remnants!)

Looking Forward

October will be no less busy. In addition to a full teaching load, we have our Board of Directors meeting. And at The Brook Training Center, we have two opportunities to host prospective missionary couples along with their mentors. These separate events both tie into missions opportunities in Honduras. It is a great blessing for us to provide a venue and play a small part in someone’s great future.
